Monty's Men - Training, England 2017

 

With the EU law regarding the export/import of de-activated weapons effectively preventing Monty's Men from undertaking any further trips to the scene of battalion actions in France, events were now to be based in England. Portraying troops of the 4th Battalion Welch Regiment, 160th (South Wales) Brigade, 53rd (Welsh) Infantry Division, the trip comprised a "Field Phase" with troops dug in along the side of a field from where they undertook patrols and probing attacks on potential enemy positions. Operating on home soil provided opportunities to use blank firing weapons' and some pyrotechnics to add to the experience.
